Automated Short Film Builder using Airtable & N8N
We built an end-to-end automation that turns simple Airtable inputs into a finished short film. When a user updates the short-film record or changes the process status in Airtable, an n8n webhook triggers the pipeline: OpenAI generates the story section-by-section and produces image prompts for each scene; AI modules convert those prompts into images and generate motion & audio assets; everything is uploaded to Google Drive with public share links which are written back to Airtable. The system stitches scenes together into a single short-film file and stores the final movie alongside source assets — enabling rapid, repeatable content production without manual file wrangling.
This automation empowers creative teams to prototype and produce short films faster and at scale. By combining Airtable for content input and tracking, n8n for orchestration, and AI services for writing, imagery, motion, and audio, the workflow removes repetitive tasks, preserves an auditable asset trail, and delivers polished short films ready for sharing or distribution.
